About Bee Natural Boutique
Based on the sandy shores of Lake Michigan, Bee Natural Boutique is a small business dedicated to sustainability and locality. Fiber pieces are dyed with hand harvested or locally sourced, organic plant and insect material. Jewelry is painted with earth based, eco-friendly pigments that are hand mulled in small batches. The goal is to have as little environmental impact as possible. Most material is harvested in Michigan. All pieces are one of a kind!

Melissa is the founder of Bee Natural Boutique. She began her eco-friendly journey after learning how to paint silk with synthetic dyes; upon spilling a small amount of the dye, she watched as insects crawled from the ground and died. She vowed that she would never work with synthetic dyes again, and her love affair with natural dyes and eco-friendly wares was born.
In addition to natural dyeing, Mel also creates organic artisan inks/paints, jewelry, original artwork, and much more. This web site is the culmination of her eco-friendly efforts, which she hopes to share with you. Check back often to see her latest projects!
